Holmer Green Youth v Maidenhead United Youth

Goals from Lee Barney, Ryan Hazell and Chris Sargeant saw us thump 2nd placed Holmer Green in the league tonight.
Playing a very aggressive 3-4-3 with 4 forwards in the line up we ran Holmer ragged and could have been 6 up at half time. Attacking with tempo we took the lead when great work from Hazell saw his cross knocked home by Lee Barney in the 10th minute.
Their keeper then made two brilliant saves followed by 4 golden opportunities where a lack of composure in front of goal was our downfall.
Hazell made it two in the 43rd minute when quick thinking saw him chip the keeper's poor clearance back into the net.
The second half was a more quiet affair as the very heavy pitch took it toll. We also took the opportunity to gives Allied debuts to a few players. Chris Sargeant hit a low drive on the hour to make it three.
Overall a very good performance with Lee Barney, Ryan Hazell and James "Gizza" Gisbourne particularly shining.
