Simon Patterson RIP (16.09.06)

The club received the tragic news this week that former player Simon Patterson was killed in a car crash last Saturday.

Simon was signed by John Dreyer in the autumn of 2004 and went onto start eleven games for us, coming on as sub a further five times.  A striker, Simon found the net five times.

Simon was playing for Wingate & Finchley at the time of his death and had also spent time at QPR, Watford and Havant & Waterlooville.

Also in the car was Alistair Heselton who is in a critical condition in hospital.  Alistair was a team mate of Simons and has played against Maidenhead for the likes of Bishops Stortford and Northwood.

Everybody at Maidenhead United sends their sincere condolences to the friends and family of Simon, and their best wishes to Alistair in his recovery.

A minute's silences was held before the start of today's match.
