Shares go on sale (18.05.06)

SHARES in Maidenhead United Limited went on sale this week, as the new club owners honoured a pledge to the fans.
Director Peter Griffin said:“The information packs have gone out this week. They detail how supporters can buy shares in the club.
“When we took over we pledged a quarter of the shares would be made available for fans to buy.
“They’re priced at £10 each, and people can buy from one share upwards.
“It’s an opportunity to be part of the club and help in its regeneration.
“Any money raised will go straight into the club’s coffers and will be used for capital projects.
“It’s not going to used to pay off debts.”
Information packs have been sent out to former members of the club, and those closely involved with its day-to-day running.
This is to comply with financial regulations regarding public share issues.
Griffin explained: “We’re not allowed to advertise to the general public.
“But if anyone who should have received a pack hasn’t, or any supporters who are interested in finding out about the shares should contact me on 01628 509090, or email me at pgriffin@pharmalinkconsulting.co.uk.”
