Taylor: ‘We just need to go for it’ (30.12.05)

A FRUSTRATED Carl Taylor is looking for the Magpies to turn around their poor form with a mixture of hard work and attacking intent.
After watching his side go down 3-1 to a good Farnborough Town unit on Monday, the Magpies supremo believes his team needs to do more of what they do best – attack.
He said: “There’s not a lot between us and most of the teams in this division. But we need to be more positive.
“We were playing well and looking dangerous at Farnborough before they scored. That first goal changed everything.
“But I know we won’t give up, and maybe we should be more adventurous going forward.
“It’s difficult when you’re not in great form, but we must try.”
He added: “We are going to Eastbourne determined to win. We need to go for it.
“It’s not a must-win scenario, but this is definitely one we can win.”

Tomorrow (Saturday), the Magpies are at Eastbourne Borough, and then on Monday entertain Farnborough Town. Both matches kick-off at 3pm.

In addition to the recent signings of Dean Bradshaw and Craig Lewington, Carl Taylor has also added Andrew Lunn, an attacking midfielder, to the squad.
Bryan Smith returns for tomorrow’s match having completed his one match suspension, but Nana Badu still has two more games to serve.
Matt Glynn and Ryan Johnson are still carrying slight injuries.
