| United
pluck eager Rose
(story posted on 6/7/01)
MAIDENHEAD
United made its first new signing for the 2001/2002 season
when Andy Rose signed a one year contract on Tuesday evening.
Rose, who is 22-years-old, was at Harrow Borough for two
seasons where he developed a reputation as one of the best
right-backs in the league.
During his time at Harrow he won all three Player of the
Year awards and made 113 appearances, scoring five goals.
Prior to joining Harrow, Rose spent four years at Oxford
United making a handful of first team appearances.
A number of new faces have been training at Cox Green School
this week and further signings are expected to be made next
week.
Of last season's squad none seem likely to leave York Road
and long term injury victims from last season, Brian Connor,
Steve Brown and Craig Webster are all back into the full
training schedule.
