Battle Royal as Magpies visit Windsor (04.04.03)

MAIDENHEAD United’s one surviving chance of securing silverware this season sees them travel to Windsor & Eton on Tuesday night, for the semi-final of the Berks and Bucks Cup, kick-off 7.30pm.
The game is of growing importance to the Magpies, who are now out of danger but also out of the running in the Premier Division, having moved 13 points clear of the drop zone with four points out of six this week.
Consequently, the club has appealed to its fans to turn up in numbers to support the Magpies in what it sees as a crucial local derby.
Recent results in Division 1 South mean the Royalists have also given up the promotion chase in their division, so they too are hanging their hopes on the cup.
And, while three league defeats in their last four outings will certainly have dented their confidence, the Royalists can be relied upon to give it their all on Tuesday night.

Tomorrow (Saturday), United entertain fifth-placed Hayes at York Road, who they beat 2-0 in the reverse fixture in early September.
However, Hayes have won on their last four outings, including a 1-0 home win over Aldershot on Saturday.
This, coupled with United's erratic home form, could spell trouble for the Magpies.

Bishop's Stortford have put last week’s narrow victory over the Magpies into perspective, with subsequent and larger victories over Hendon, Enfield and Heybridge, extending their winning streak to five games.
