Magpies invest in youth policy (25.07.02)

MAIDENHEAD United are hoping to become the focal point for football in the Maidenhead area, after signing a deal with Maidenhead Boys and Girls FC (MB&G).
The agreement, which is being hailed as a win-win contract between the two clubs, will guarantee free entry to United’s home games for MB&G members, while the older players can look forward to trials and training with the Magpies.
On top of this, MB&G will be given access to the York Road pitch for selected matches, giving the youngsters an opportunity to play in a league standard stadium.
The Magpies’ vice chairman Jon Swann said: “We at York Road are absolutely delighted with the link-up and are proud to be associated with MB&G FC,
“The Magpies have for too long been absent from youth and boys football. We have some lost time to make up.”
