Draw with Ducks no disgrace (17.10.02)

SATURDAY'S draw with Aylesbury may have extended Maidenhead United's stay in the top half of the table, but has left many fans wondering where their next win will come from.
The Magpies have now drawn four of their last six league games, and lost the remaining two, while scoring just four goals.
And, having created by the far the better chances on Saturday, United's goal-shy strikers once again failed to find the back of the net.
In fairness, the Ducks did make it difficult for them, but the fact remains that Aylesbury had a defender in goal, after their first choice keeper dislocated his shoulder in the first half.
That said, United's performance was an improvement on recent weeks and, with luck, may herald the beginning of a recovery.
Coach Alan Devonshire concurred, claiming a draw with the Ducks was no disgrace.
He said: "I would have liked all three points, but I think we can be happy with one.
"Defensively we were very strong and I was very pleased with the midfield three. We played some good stuff at times.
"It's just in the final third where we were a bit disappointing again. But as long as we're keeping clean sheets the results are going to come.
"You just need a little bit of luck sometimes."
He also offered some words of encouragment to a few of his players who are currently struggling to make the grade.
He added: "There are a few players who are off their games but I think it's just a matter of getting them through it and out the other side. We'll go forward from there..”
Tomorrow (Saturday), United travel to Ford United in Romford, Essex.
The Motormen are currently rooted in the relegation zone, having won only two games this season.
However, they are still among the leading goalscorers in the league, having tucked away 23 in their 13 games to date.
Devonshire said: "They're good going forward and they have a new manager now, which will make it harder. It's going to be a tough game."
On Tuesday, United entertain Kingstonian, who are the only club in the division with an unbeaten record.
Devonshire said: "They will be strong but I'm just looking to Saturday at the moment."
