Joe Nartey returns to York Road (28.03.03)

STRIKER Joe Nartey made a welcome return to York Road this week, after a two-year absence.
In his short spell with the Magpies, back in 2001, Nartey scored four goals in five starts.
Since leaving United he has played for Dulwich Hamlet, Enfield, Hendon, Hemel Hempstead, Horn- church and Barking.
Unfortunately, he failed to find his shooting boots on his debut at The Meadow on Tuesday night, although he did force Chesham keeper Delroy Preddie into several impressive saves.
Midfielder Richard O'Connor also rejoined the club from Hampton & Richmond Borough this week, having left the Magpies in January this year in search of regular first-team football.

Maidenhead United entertain Aylesbury United at York Road tomorrow (Saturday).
The Ducks have not won a league game since January and have subsequently slipped into the relegation zone, although they could claim they have been distracted by their amazing run in the FA Trophy.
On the other hand, they have managed three draws in their last four outings, compared to the Magpies' recent record of five draws from seven.
Consequently, the cynic might predict another lifeless draw.
On Tuesday, United are at home to Heybridge Swifts, who have drawn five of their last six games, including Saturday's stultifying 0-0 stalemate at home to the Magpies.

Commercial Manager Dave McCulloch has left York Road by mutual consent.
The club is looking for a physiotherapist to work with the Reserve squad.
The position would suit a young physiotherapist, keen to learn in a footballing environment.
Anyone interested in taking up this challenging role should contact club secretary Ken Chandler on 01628 636078.
